As the spa industry develops, more and more state and local regulations have begun to impact spa operations, products and professionals across California.  Through our members, CSA will understand the top issues affecting our industry and provide a platform for all spa professionals to make significant change where necessary.

The recent implementation of a California state massage certification is a great example of how a group of people can invoke necessary change. California Bill 731 created an entity that could issued a state massage certification which would supersede all local licensing and permitting requirements. This bill in fact not only freed massage therapists to practice any anywhere in the state of California, it also created an additional layer of credibility to a noble profession.
